A 3-bedroom unit at the 6-plex has become available for occupancy.
Gitsegukla Housing is now accepting applications for this unit. Gitsegukla Housing is also looking to update the housing needs of the community and would like to request applications for housing from all members of the community who are looking for a change to their housing situation regardless of size of unit they require. A waitlist of approved applications will be maintained in case further units become available.
New public health orders have been introduced for Northern Health Region effective Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

If you have a family member that is not familiar with emailing, please call ahead to the office to arrange a time with Reception to email a completed package to the Electoral Officer.
Otherwise, please hold on to your completed package for the meeting June 1st to give directly to the Electoral Officer to be recorded. (Do not leave with Reception)

As we have entered the spring and are moving towards summer, we would like to remind Gitsegukla members about the dangers caused by local bear activity. Please the following PDF posting for more details.
It is anticipated that several of the teacherages will become available for temporary housing over the summer months. Gitsegukla would like to offer short term rentals of available teacherages for 3-month terms over the summer, with possible extensions during the school year depending on availability.
Gitsegukla has reduced the Community Protection Measure level from level 4 to level 3 effective April 20, 2021.
This means that non-resident members of Gitsegukla may enter the community; however, must maintain their physical distance from others, in accordance with Provincial health mandates below, supported by Gitsegukla. It is important we continue to wear masks in the presence of others and in shared spaces, continue frequent hand washing and/or use of hand sanitizer and continue to exhibit social and physical distancing.
